ESG – Environmental Social & Governance

1. Environmental Initiatives
Progressive Rehabilitation: Implement land restoration during operations, not only at closure, through backfilling, slope stabilization, and revegetation.
Carbon Reduction: Use energy-efficient machinery, promote fuel optimization, and explore renewable energy sources for site operations.
2. Social Initiatives
Local Employment: Prioritize hiring and training Ghanaian and mine community local workers, with special focus on youth and women in mining communities. Community Development: We will train and employ men and women from the mining communities in carrying out projects.
Health & Safety Awareness: Extend safety training and awareness programs to local communities near mine sites.
3. Governance Initiatives
Transparency & Compliance: Adhere strictly to Ghana’s Minerals and Mining Act, EPA regulations, and international standards (ICMM, IFC).

Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)

1. Purpose
This policy establishes the framework to ensure all Capstone Developments works meet the required quality standards, align with project specifications and comply with mining, environmental and safety regulations

2. Scope
This includes all activities that we undertake at themining sites which include; Earthworks, retaining structures, tailings dam , structural civil works, concrete foundations, drainage, construction of storage facilities.

3. Policy Statement
Our goal is to deliver earthworks and civils services of consistent , verifiable quality. We are determined to implement and maintain QAQC systems that; Prevent defects and non-conformance through quality assurance planning detect and correct non-conformingwork through systemic qulity controltesting and inspection.

4. Responsibilities
Project Manager: Responsible for overall adherence to this quality policy and providing necessary resources. QC Manager/Engineers: Responsible for inspecting construction elements, witnessing tests, reviewing quality records, and approving work stages.
Site Staff: Responsible for adhering to method statements and reporting non-conformances immediately.

5. Non-Conformance and Corrective Action
Any materials or workmanship not meeting specifications will be documented, marked, and segregated to prevent accidental use. Corrective actions will be implemented promptly, and a root-cause analysis will be conducted to prevent recurrence. International Mine Action Standards +1

6. Continuous Improvement
Management will review the project quality plan regularly to ensure it remains effective, adjusting processes based on lessons learned and audit findings.

Pre-Pour Inspections: Stringent checks for rebar, formwork, and embedded items before pouring concrete.
Material Testing: Regular lab tests on input materials (concrete slump, steel testing, soil compaction) to confirm structural integrity.
Environment-Specific QA: Special attention to environmental protection measures (sediment control) during construction.
